Magic: The Gathering Club – your weekly game night!<\/strong>
\nDo you love Magic: The Gathering or would you like to get to know the game? Then you’ve come to the right place! Our weekly Magic evening offers a relaxed atmosphere to play, chat and have fun together. Whether you’re an experienced planeswalker or a curious newcomer – everyone is welcome!<\/p>\n

What can you expect?<\/strong>
\nCommander is our favourite format – perfect for sociable rounds with spectacular moves! Fancy a change? Sometimes there’s also Pauper, Standard or other formats – depending on whether there are people who are up for it. An open atmosphere in which you can play, talk shop, swap ideas and meet new people.<\/p>\n

When?<\/strong>
\nEvery Wednesday from 18:00 to 22:00<\/p>\n

We also have a few events planned! These are not big things, but simply a bit of structure that everyone who wants to take part can stick to \ud83d\ude42
\nSome of them are events where it makes sense to build a deck especially for them, but not only.<\/p>\n

About the individual events:<\/p>\n

Long Night of Magic<\/strong>
\n– Have you always wanted to play Magic at night at the university? Then this is the opportunity! We play Magic from 6 to 2, so 8 hours!<\/p>\n

Trade Night<\/strong>
\n– As the name implies, bring your trade folders and find cards you still need!<\/p>\n

Taster evening for newcomers<\/strong>
\n– I want to lower the barrier to entry a little, so I’m organising an extra day for newcomers. Feel free to bring new people! I will probably bring some pauper decks to slowly explain the rules in 1v1. Maybe some of you are willing to act as a \u2018mentor\u2019 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

10 HP Commander<\/strong>
\n– Very simple: instead of starting with 40 life, everyone starts with 10!<\/p>\n

Pride Partner Commander<\/strong>
\n– I think the official WOTC event is cool, that’s why we’re doing it in the club! https:\/\/magic.wizards.com\/en\/news\/announcements\/celebrate-your-local-game-stores-community-at-magic-presents-pride<\/a> Unfortunately, we can’t offer a promo card.<\/p>\n

Hearthstone Mana<\/strong>
\n– Similar to the mana system of Hearthstone, no lands and other mana sources allowed in the deck, instead you always get a basic of your choice automatically at the beginning of your 1st main phase. Game starts with 4 cards in hand and decks are only 60 cards in size as lands are omitted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
